Well, where to start. Another week of adventures, I guess I could call them that :) I am going out of order this week, mixing things up. So we had fun night at the church this week (like every week). We are running it a little bit differently now because us missionaries are way too good at basketball and always win. So we are playing other games now. Think girls camp mixed with elementary recess games, or mutual. It was fun. Somehow there was shaving cream at the activity and since we are mature in all our conduct we decided we needed to look the part as well. So, we made ourselves have facial hair. #beardedmissionaries Transfer calls came Sunday around 5. We waited in suspense all day for that one. We were actually at a lesson with our investigator Donalee when the call came. Her status: Every time we go by her faith has grown even more. We have been visiting her every day for short amounts of time. It is great to see her every day. Oh, yeah, transfer calls :) Woops, almost forgot. I will be staying in Grenada :) I am very excited about that. Sister Layton will be going to my birth place, St. Maarten! She is going to do amazing things over there. Her new companion is Sister Maughan who I served with in Barbados for a bit. My new companion is the one and only Sister R! She was in the MTC with Sister Layton and I. She is awesome. I am excited to have her as my companion. A lot of changes in companionships are being made here in Grenada but it is going to be good. We are going to work hard and see success!! We did about 5 hours of service on Saturday with Roger and Jemin. That was so much fun. We worked hard. We cleaned up the yard and the inside of the house for a missionary that is serving from Grenada. I believe he is in Santo Domingo. Diamond Cummings birthday was on Tuesday so we went to her house for a little bit. We ended up having a testimony meeting there and a small lesson. I love the Cummings, they are such a good family. Sister Layton was saying goodbye to people in preparation to leaving. So we went by and she said goodbye to our investigator Lennox. He has 1 leg and is hilarious. We are dying of laughter every time we visit him. It was an amazing week. I am going to miss Sister Layton so much and look forward to seeing her after our missions. I am excited to see Sister R again as well. Plus, Sister Lometo is going home so Sister Benn is getting a new companion. Sister Johnson is coming here to Grenada! Haha I love that girl and am excited that she will be here in Grenada too. I will let you know how it all plays out :) To be continued....

Monday (2 weeks ago): Shemorlly's birthday was on Sunday so Sister Layton and I went over Monday night for her Birthday treat. Sister Layton got Hostess cupcakes and Birthday candles in her package. You know we popped those out for the occasion! Tuesday (2 weeks ago): A few weeks ago we received a referral from some of the medical students that were moving off the island. A Brazilian family moved into their old place and they gave them Liahonas/Ensigns and other church materials. The wife (Paulene) likes to read to improve her English. The medical students told them that the missionaries could come by and they said that was fine. We met with them on Tuesday and they are such a great family! Very generous and kind. Paulene and her husband Jucian both served missions for the catholic church as a couple. #nuffsaid Here in Grenada there are a lot of corn stands. Think Nacho Libre. So of course being missionaries and quoting Nacho on the daily we couldn't pass up the opportunity to buy corn. It was nothing magical but we were able to meet the corn lady miss Alisson. Everybody has that one friend that just knows everyone. That is miss Alisson. She is hilarious. 10 minutes with her and I guarantee you'll be on the floor laughing. # ROTFL Wednesday (2 weeks ago): Shemorlly and Tyra came out teaching with us! That was so fun! We had to go in town because Shemorlly needed to get something. So Sister Layton and I were waiting outside by the water. I was trying to get a cool picture of my name tag (yes, mom, that was for you) and of course it slipped out of my hand when I was trying to put it back on. So my name tag ended up at the bottom of the Careenage....yup. While taking pictures of my name tag we also spotted an R.O.U.S. #princessbride Pictures will be included herewith. We also found one of the former investigators Christopher. He used to come to church every Sunday and come to all the activities. However, he 100% believes he is Jesus. We pronounce his name CHRISTopher. He came to church on Sunday again though. Tuesday (Last week): So there is this member named Rickie. He rocks. He also has weights at his house. A lot of us missionaries just hit our year mark. Hopefully you see the direction this is going. :) So on Tuesday, with the help of the zone leaders, we hiked weights and ting down a huge hill into our car and brought it to the church. There is a back room downstairs that has been turned into a weights room for the missionaries. #thanksrickie #6monthstosexy Friday (Last week): Friday was quite the adventure. Part of our area is Lance Aux Epines. Mostly rich people and white med students live there and they don't listen to us much. We decided it is about time that we brought them the gospel too so we scoped out the area and found which streets go where and which houses were not gated. We found an awesome cliff while doing that and of course stopped to take pictures. (I’m convinced we saw whales too) Saturday: The other Sisters on the island had a baptism! That was amazing! Her name was Maria and I love her, she is such a great person. Sunday: Church was packed!!! It was insane!! All of the Medical Students are back. We didn't have enough seats for everyone. Such a great problem to have :) Monday: Monday was a holiday (and it is carnival right now) so we hung out at the church for most of the day after playing basketball at the med school with some members. It was awesome! Tuesday: Sister Layton and I flew to Barbados (and are still here right now). President wanted to meet with us but his passport is full so he couldn't come to us. So we got lucky and were able to come here to Barbados. It is awesome being back here. We fly back to Grenada tomorrow. I am staying with the Sisters that are in my old area. Such a tender mercy to be able to be back in my old area! :) I love it! So sorry I didn't send an email last week. I had it all typed up but then ran out of time before I could hit send:/ Forgiven?:) I love you lots and hope ya have a fantastic week! Sister Breana Stewart |
