I live in Black Bay on the Island of St Lucia. My area is Cantonement and Augier (pronounced O-jay). There are two branches on the Island, one here in Vieux (pronounced view) Fort and one in Castries. I am in the Vieux Fort Branch. My MTC companion Sister Layton is in the branch with me. We have myself, Sister Nelson, Sister Layton, Sister Campbell, Elder Miller, Elder Whipple, Elder Tye, and Elder Aldredge (Not sure if I spelled their names right).
These last two weeks were pretty crazy! First of all, we had bed bugs....or rather my bed had bugs. Last Friday I woke up with bug bites literally covering my whole body. I looked like I had a bad case of the chicken pocks! It was so nasty. They itched like crazy. Luckily I have self control and didn't scratch them so they went away quicker. They started going away about 3 days ago. They are all gone now!:) So because of that Fiasco my companion and I had to stay with the other sisters for 4 nights while our place was getting de-bugged. That was so much fun! POVER! Last P-day we hiked this intense mountain called the Piton. Locals thought we were insane for doing it. It was funny. Interestingly boring fact: My companion and I were unable to leave our house last Wednesday until 7 at NIGHT! Our land lords were having our house painted on the inside and told us that we had to stay there while the painters worked. We thought it would only take a couple of hours and they came in at 8. So we figured it would be the perfect time to do our weekly planning. But no, we were there all day. Happy point of the day was that the Sister Training Leader Sister Norris and her companion Sister Rindlisbacher came to St. Lucia to visit us. Sister Rindlisbacher was in my MTC group and apparently Sister Norris was in the MTC with Erik Egbert. She told me he was her District Leader there. Small World!!! So Sister Rindlisbacher came to our house at 7 that night and stayed with us until Friday morning. That was the best. Me and Sister Rindlisbacher get along so well. Maybe one day we will get the chance to be companions! That would be awesome. Thursday morning all three of us went and helped two of our members, Gaius and Unon, who make coals. It was so fun! We went a couple weeks back and helped him cut up all the wood and place it. I got to use a cutlass (basically a big Machete). This time we helped finish it and he is going to light it on Wednesday and we are going to be there. I will take pictures. Friday morning we went to a farm way out that two of our investigators, Miranda and Nigel, own. We had to walk through a huge swamp to get to it. It was really awesome. We were weeding around onions for a couple hours. We got to use a cutlass again haha. It was awesome. Then the sprinklers turned on while we were doing it which felt real nice. Closest thing to swimming we will get on our missions (besides when it is pouring rain). Miranda walked us to a little beach right after that which was about 5 minutes walking. We went out teaching all day after that of course but Sister Norris was with us instead of Sister Rindlisbacher. They switched places after our service project. After teaching all day we were headed back home about a half hour early to do language studies. We got a phone call from another Sister on the Island who wanted to talk to me about something important so I answered the phone talked to her. It was around 8 o'clock so it was super dark outside and here in the Caribbean the streets aren't really lit at all. I hear footsteps running up behind us but Sister Norris and Sister Nelson stopped in their tracks like they were waiting for the person, so I amused they knew who it was. All of a Sudden someone grabbed my arm and twisted it to turn me around and demanded that I give him our phone. After taking a minute to see who it was I realized that he had a ski mask on and a cutlass. I was going to tell the Sisters to book it and get out of there but since he has a cutlass there wasn't much we could do. So I gave him the phone and told him to calm down. He wasn't making like he was going to hit me with the cutlass but I got the impression he did not want to use it. I wasn't going to give him a reason to. After he got the phone he started yanking my bag off of my neck and it was starting to choke me and said for me to give him my bag. I took it off and he tore it away. I was so vexed! My scriptures and my favorite pen were in there! Then he turned to my companion and told her to give him her bag. She did. She and Sister Norris were in shock. The guy ran away after that and I had to herd them home. I wasn't really sure how to deal with someone in shock. Since we didn't have our phone anymore or the keys to our house I went straight to our landlords who live above us and told them what happened and asked if we could use their phone. I had to make all the phone calls and talk to the cops for us when they arrived because Sister Nelson and Sister Norris were still in shock and were super shaky. I was so grateful for my parents and my dad especially for teaching me not to freak out in a time of crisis. If I hadn't had a clear mind and been able to focus everything would not have gone as smoothly. We were so grateful to be safe and out of harms way. We ended up staying with the other sisters again. No joke, 6 Sister sleepover. It was crazy haha. Saturday morning the cop picked us up and we went to the police station to give our statements. They were very nice. Honestly, I don't think there is much they can do for us since the guy was wearing a mask. But I know that we will be fine as we continue to do the Lord's work. Saturday there was also two baptisms. What a blessing! Today for P-day so far we bused up to Castries to play soccer and volleyball with the whole zone. That was so much fun. The bus ride is about an hour long, on bumpy roads, with bus drives that don't know what a speed limit is. It is a blast haha. We had a lot of fun playing soccer. The field was super muddy since it was raining the past couple days so we are all muddy and gross haha. It is hilarious. All in all, we had a pretty good week. We had two baptisms (the elders did), two of our investigators came to church, we were able to do a lot of service, and that is a lot to be grateful for. Love and miss everyone so much. I am so grateful for all of you. Have another great week. Love, Sister Breana Stewart

12/14/15 Elder Pohl and Elder Spencer are leaving the island. No one new is coming and nobody else is leaving. Elder Pohl is going back home to Canada because he is done with his mission. Woop! And Elder Spencer is leaving for Grenada. Sister Call and I are staying together!! YAY!!! We are so excited for this upcoming transfer. We know we will be able to do great things. Yes I am pretty sure I will get to Skype you on Christmas! I am so excited. Jacob will be there right?! Training is going well. I love Sister Call, she is a great missionary. We have a few new investigators. I will update more on that next week. I have very little time to email this week. I love you so much though! This week was really good. I just emailed you on Wednesday so you got half of it already haha. Last night Sister Call and I, plus four of the elders, went to a Seventh Day Adventist church with our investigator Brown for a bible study. Everyone absolutely loved all of us. It was so much fun! They invited us back for next week as well, we are excited to go. We should have a baptism this Saturday. We are excited for it. Jean Louis is ready and we had a lesson with him yesterday about it. Roger is going to baptize him. It will be amazing. We are also preparing to start an English class. So if anyone has any tips for that it would be much appreciated haha. I love everyone and hope you have an excellent week. Love ya mom! Con Amor, Hermana Breana Stewart 12/9/15 Happy thanksgiving to everyone! All of us missionaries celebrated thanksgiving on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving instead of Thursday. Our amazing senior couple made the turkey and us missionaries all brought other stuff and had an amazing delicious meal. It was great. Well I've learned this week if you give a pineapple away it gives you smiles for dayz. We were walking from an appointment in Cay Bay eating floups and we passed a lady that sells fruit. She is super sweet and we talk to her all the time. Then I realized I had never bought a pineapple before!!! So I purchased one and we were on our merry way. Funny story... we were busing to the other side of the island to go to our next appointment and to do some service so I had to carry the pineapple with me the whole way. Let me tell you, it gets heavy after a while. My bag was already full, of course, will all my missionary necessities. Ie: Books of Mormon, pass along cards, the scriptures, snacks (obviously), and other great things. So there was no room in my bag for my lovely pineapple! For about 6 or so hours I was carrying the pineapple. It turned out to be a very good conversation starter oddly enough. As we were walking to the bus that night to get back to Cole Bay I passed a lady waiting at another bus stop. Needless to say, I gave her the pineapple. Best decision I've ever made! The smile on her face was HUGE. She was so grateful for that pineapple. And the gentleman sitting next to her was amazed that I would give away my pineapple. Not sure if people really love pineapples here or what but they were treating it like gold. Good deed for the day: check! Last week as well, we were doing service for a lady who owns a thrift shop. Her name is Joanna and she is amazing! She is Elder Page and Elder Jones investigator. During the service I invited her to church and told her a little bit about it. She was so excited and said she would come. I also invited her to the ward Christmas party on Saturday and she will be coming to that as well. She had an amazing experience at church and I know that she had been prepared to hear the restored gospel. We have a baptism this Saturday for an investigator Jean Louis. We are so excited for it! Zone Conference was on Monday! That was....quite interesting. Lots of learning involved. We contacted a bunch of awesome people yesterday and are stoked to teach them. One of the people we contacted actually attends our other investigator named Brown's church. We were helping her carry her heavy suitcase home and she stopped us when we were almost there and asked if we could pray with her right there in the street. So we said we would and we did. It was an amazing experience. We are excited to continue meeting with her. Great week and we are excited for next one. Love everyone so much! Love, Sister Breana Stewart 11/30/15 Buenos Dias! This week was pretty great! This week we had the car for a few days because Elder Savard was in Barbados so they didn't need it. It was awesome. We were able to pick Nichaulle up and bring her to lessons with us. We were on fire! It was amazing. We were finally able to meet with Pablo and he basically said he will be a member of the church one day, he just doesn't know when. So that happened. We went to our investigator Brown's church again on Saturday haha. That was pretty great. He is the Seventh Day Adventist. They all came up and welcomed us just like last time. He called me Satan during a lesson as well......that was cool....not really. He loves the missionaries coming to teach him but he thinks we are wrong and that we are not on the Lord's side all the time. It is quite interesting. On Sunday we had visitors from Scotland and the husband called me and Sister Call "Angels". That was the coolest. Don't have a lot of time this week but I love and miss everyone. We are eating banana splits as a zone. I will attach a picture. Con Amor, Hermana Breana Stewart Training is going well. Sister Call is doing "Fantastic". Investigators are doing good. Basically all of them are male so we have been doing a lot of member training and a lot of visiting recent converts. Cool Story: Sister Call and I traveled to the beautiful Barbados this week, Tuesday to Thursday. As we finally arrived in Barbados we were going through Immigration....I got pulled aside. No Joke, interrogated for like 20 minutes. It was pretty cool. The guy interrogating me was asking me if I was a real missionary and what I do. So I kindly told him a little about what I do by giving him the first lesson. I got all the way to god calls prophets in every dispensation until he cut me off. It was pretty awesome if I do say so myself. Finally he brought me to the chief of security and I believe that her heart was softened somehow. They finally let me through!! So as I was walking out of the airport trying to find my companion and make sure she was fine I saw Sister Robinson and her walking towards me. Best Surprise Ever!!!!! Reunited at last! And we got to stay at her house that night. It was a party. We had so much fun :) Saturday: Saturday we had two amazing baptisms! Nichaulle and Kat were both baptized! It was amazing. After the baptism all of us missionaries, plus Nichaulle, walked over to Burger King for lunch. We were just sitting there and enjoying our delicious fast food when a herd of about 20 young adults rushed in and picked fights with a group of older men. It was insane! Like a full on fight in Burger King. I was really nervous that someone was going to get seriously injured. No joke, chairs were thrown, throats were grabbed, and faces were getting pummeled. It was crazy. The Burger King staff was trying to break it up but it took it a while to break up. After everything calmed down and the herd of young adults left Elder Savard went up to the older men and asked if they were okay. It was awesome. On our walk back home so we could get ready for the rest of our day we contacted a fellow named Gerald and got him to trow out his cigarette and said a prayer with him. Pretty neat huh? Then we went over to Kat's house for a barbeque with missionaries and her fiancé. It was so much fun! Elder Page sang a song and played the guitar. It was awesome. We had burgers, hot dogs, chips, steak, red velvet cake, and Oreos cookies and cream ice cream. Way delicious. We also had a bunch of amazing lessons on Sunday and Saturday night. That was my week. Enjoy. :) This week was a lot of fun!
We had a Karaoke night this Saturday and it was a blast. We got to sing a lot of great music haha. The missionaries rocked it! :) This week we contacted a whole lot because there is a rule that we can't teach people of the opposite gender without someone of our own gender present. Before we could teach them as long as it was outside their house but now we can't even do that. It is a struggle because 90% of our investigators are male and we can't meet with them anymore. The branch is small here and there aren't a lot of women that can go out teaching with us because they all work. So it is a setback but we will find a way! We were bussing to St. Peters a couple days ago and a guy started talking to us on it. He apparently had talked to missionaries before and asked us if we were real missionaries. So I told him, "Yes, of course! We have been set apart as missionaries to teach people." Then he let me know he was a prophet and started reciting scriptures out of the bible. It was quite the bus ride. He was very kind and wants us to go back and teach him.....we will probably send the Elders haha. We did service all day on Saturday and that was so much fun. Love, Sister Breana Stewart Sister Call is my new companion and is from Washington.
Yes, we get along ok. I miss Sister Robinson so much though. Her and I got along so well. We are going to be friends for a long time. We see each other as sisters we were so close. I love and miss her. I am so sad that that companionships ended so quickly. You know me; sometimes I just don't know what to say to people I don't know so it is hard having a new companion. I know that as we concentrate on the Lord's work we will be able to teach a lot of people and bring others closer to Christ. We have been having a lot of rain haha. The international day of service was canceled so instead we went out and taught. As we were walking to our appointment it started pouring down rain! It was hilarious. We were soaked. It felt good though. I wish it would rain like that more often. It cools you off. I almost got eaten by another dog last night haha, But this one was meeeeeaaaaann. We were walking down the street that takes us back to our house and it is just big enough for one car to fit down. There was a rude dog that was growling and barking at us. I was not in the mood for it haha. So we walked right past it and it came at me. I really thought it was going to bite me. So me and Sister Call booked it. Haha. Crisis adverted. The new elders are super awesome. With this many missionaries here we are bound to do amazing things. If not, we do not have a very good excuse!!! We have three baptisms this Saturday. One of them is our investigator Jean Louis. His younger brother (I think they are half brothers) is a member. It is going to be amazing. I am excited for him. This Saturday there is also a Karaoke night that all of us missionaries are super excited for!!! :) It is going to be amazing and we are going to invite a lot of people to it. I 100% promise I will have a scripture by next week. I thought I had one but I changed my mind:) I love you so much and am glad to hear everything is going well back home. Love, Sister Breana Stewart Oct 26
Instead of the sister training leader coming here to visit us, we had the opportunity to go to her! It was awesome. Funny story, we kept referring the St. Maarten as home when we were on Barbados. That is a sure sign that you love where you are if anything. We were so glad to be back on St. Maarten. As much as we loved Barbados, it just wasn't the same. It was quite a bit more humid there as well. The first night we stayed with a set of sisters, one of which I came out here at the same time with, and our A/C didn't work in our room. Basically, we didn't get much sleep. Then the second night we stayed with the sister training leader and her companion, who I also came out with (and she is super cool!), and I slept on their futon and Sister Robinson slept on the floor. Oddly enough, that was my best night sleep on my mission. Anyways, we were in Barbados from Tuesday until Thursday afternoon. We even contacted the security guy at the airport who checks your passport in Barbados. It was awesome. He was super excited to meet with the missionaries by the end of our chat. So, we got his info and called the Barbados missionaries once we got home and gave the deets to them. Another cool thing! So a while back we received a referral from Texas! It was a lady who served her mission in Venezuela and one of the members from her mission had moved to St. Maarten. Her name is Beatriz, she is a less-active, and she speaks Spanish! We hadn't been able to have contact with her yet because we hadn't gotten her number. On Thursday she texted us while we were in line at the airport and so I called her! Whipped out my Spanish pretty well if I do say so myself. I got to know her a little and set up an appointment for next week and explained that we were just returning from a trip to Barbados. She is super awesome and we are excited to meet with her. This week was super awesome. Hard work truly does pay off! :) Love, Sister Breana Stewart Nov. 2 Things are going great here! We have a baptism this week for an investigator named Jean Louis! It is coming up so soon and we committed him to baptism last week! He was insistent that he be baptized soon, so this Saturday will be soon! We got transfer calls on Sunday and I am training starting Wednesday!! I am so nervous! I literally finished my training yesterday! Me and my companion will be split! I am going to miss Sister Robinson so much! She is amazing! I love her! She is heading to Barbados. We have a new investigator named Ernest. He is such a kind man, has had a tour of a temple grounds before (so that is awesome) and is eager to learn more about what we believe! All of our investigators are doing well and we are having amazing experiences teaching them!!! Short email this week, super busy! Love everyone so much! :) Love, Sister Breana Stewart Every day I grow to love the scriptures more and more. I learn so much every single time I read them. I have a strong desire to know more about the scriptures and to share these teachings with others. I have gratitude towards Joseph Smith and I am so happy that he had the desire to know which church was true.
The message of the restoration is so powerful. I never realized this before my mission and had never just sat down and read it before. Every time I read it I feel the spirit so strongly testifying to me that this is true. I just can't believe I never had read it intently before this time in my life. It is a comfort and a testament that this church IS true and that Joseph Smith truly was a prophet and that through him the church was restored to the earth, and the Book of Mormon was translated for us in these latter days. As I continue to learn more about the Plan of Salvation I understand the great importance of following the commandments to the best of our abilities. What a great blessing it is to be able to access the power of the atonement whenever it is needed. Every time I take the Sacrament I think about Christ's sacrifice and I can't even imagine the pain he endured. He loved his father in heaven and every single person that has ever or ever will be born to such a great extent that he took ALL of our sins upon him and was also crucified on the cross. Even while he was on the cross he was asking our Heavenly Father to forgive them for they knew not what they were doing. He and our Heavenly Father have given us so much that we know about and even more that we can't even imagine. As I was pondering on this I thought about what I could do to give back to them. As my companion and I recite our purpose every day, I am reminded of some ways we can. My purpose as a missionary is: "To invite others to come unto Christ by helping them receive the restored gospel through faith in Jesus Christ and his atonement, repentance, baptism, receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end. The restored gospel is the only way by which we can find eternal happiness. My calling gives me authority, keeping my covenants gives me power. The fullness of the gospel of Jesus Christ was restored through the Prophet Joseph Smith. The Book of Mormon in evidence that Joseph Smith was a prophet. I help people live the gospel by inviting them to make and keep commitments. I show my love for the Lord and gratitude for his atonement by bringing souls unto him. I am successful when I am obedient, live righteously, and do my best in helping others live the gospel." By helping other to come unto Christ and bringing souls unto him we are giving back and showing our love and gratitude for Him. By loving and serving His children we are being Christlike and doing as we are asked to. By following the commandments we are setting ourselves on the straight path to the Celestial Kingdom if we live righteously, are obedient, and help other live the gospel. We do this as we are faithful members of the church, read our scriptures, pray, keep the Sabbath Day holy, and help and serve our fellow children of God. I know we will continually be blessed as we do these things and we will make our Father in heaven extremely happy as well. I love and miss everyone so much! Love, Sister Breana Stewart This week was amazing! We had a lot of success. Many great lessons and we have been having more opportunities to get to know the people and plan better because we are on foot. I am loving it. It is very hot outside and we are saving all of our change that we find in the streets so that we can both get water bottles.
I got Aunt Manda's package one Tuesday!:) It was awesome! Please tell her thank you X100000000 because we are loving everything in it! I love her so much! It is still the rainy season here and rains really hard, like waterfall status, for 5 minutes and then stops. It does that randomly. We love it. We have a baptism scheduled for this Saturday! We are so excited! Roger is excited as well and is 100% ready. I will send loads of pictures next week since I don't have a lot of time this week Email me pictures of everything that is going on! I want to see all of your smiling faces! I love getting pictures of everyone back home. This Tuesday was an epic day! At lunch after District/Zone meeting Elder Savard and Elder Nixon didn't think we could eat a whole pizza and a half, just me and Sister Robinson. They said if we did she would get her favorite drink and I would get a carton of milk. Boy did we show them :) So that night at youth activity they brought my milk. They bet me after we finished the pizza that I couldn't chuck the milk. It was a half Gallon!!! I sure tried. I chugged half of it and it did not sit well. Needless to say, the pizza didn't stay in my stomach. Then Elder Savard said he could chug it and not be sick. He tried....and failed miserably. Same outcome as me haha. Sorry this email is so short. Busy, busy, busy with serving the Lord. I promise I will Email everyone next week!:) We will make time. Love and miss you all. Sister Breana Stewart LAST WEEKS UPDATE:
Crazy week! This week has gone good. I am so excited for you all that aunt Amanda and Jordan are coming and that Jacob is returning home as well. I got one of your letters and loved it! That was the coolest. I wasn’t expecting it the day that I got it and was having a stressful day with appointments falling through and what not, but we decided to go out and find someone. When we passed the mailbox and it was in there it gave me the bounce to my step that I needed on that specific day. The power went out at our house for the millionth time so we couldn't bake a cake for a member in our branch named Patrick and he just turned 20 today, so we just bought one. He is preparing for a mission but is having a hard time with paperwork. It is a sad thing here. A lot of people don't have their birth records here so it is hard for them to get jobs or travel among other things. Hopefully all will work out though! We take him teaching with us as much as we can, as do the elders. I know that has been a blessing for him as well. WE SET A BAPTISMAL DATE WITH ONE OF OUR INVESTIGATORS!!!!!!!!! Roger is on the path to baptism. Get excited!! We are so excited for him. The new elders came on Wednesday and one on Thursday. Elder Nixon and Elder Jones are both from Utah I believe. FIGURES. Elder Savard is from Canada and speaks French. We split our area this week with the new elders coming and our number plummeted. We have some work cut out for us in these upcoming weeks. It will be great. Spanish is coming along very well. We might start an English class at the church sometime in the near future because I contacted a couple of Spanish speakers this week who were interested in that if we were to start it up. I told my companion what they said and she was stoked and told me to get their info. We have several investigators that speak Spanish that would be interested in that as well so hopefully that ends up coming together. As a zone we get together occasionally for language study and I had the opportunity to teach the missionaries that are learning Spanish the basics. It was cool. It helped me see that I know more than I think I do. However, I was sick for a few days and that happened to be one of them. Hopefully the next time we get together will be better because I won't be sick and will be able to concentrate better on what they need to learn and be able to listen to the spirit more as well. We had a baptism on Saturday! The elder's investigator Ayana was baptized and it was amazing. The spirit was so strong and we had the opportunity to have our investigator attend that as well. Roger had an amazing experience attending. Ayana will be an amazing member and a great blessing to this branch. She is so excited and knows without a doubt that this is the true church. We don't have a car anymore! We gave our car to the elders since we live closer to the church and we have been walking like crazy people these last few days. We had to show a couple of the elders around their new area since it used to be ours. By the end of that we all looked like we jumped into a pool. No joke. You think I'm kidding but I am being 100 percent honest. Soaked to the bone. Needless to say, the sun is hot. By the end of that day I had, again not joking, 6 water bottles in my bag that I drank. I need to invest in a real water bottle. Maybe that will be on my Christmas list? ;) I have never drunk more water in my life. If anyone was wondering, I don't look like a ghost anymore! I am already getting tan!! :) I have an awesome tan line where my watch goes and I'm starting to get a pretty good farmer's tan as well as a tan line where my sandals are. Whoop whoop. I'll get back during winter and will be super tan compared to you all. Love everyone so much Sister Breana Stewart THIS WEEKS UPDATE: General Conference was much needed this week. The talks that were given were truly inspired for many around the world. Having the opportunity to listen to the Prophet and his apostles speak is truly a blessing. I cannot wait to read over all the talks when I get the chance. Guess what else I can't wait to do? PONDERIZE! As soon as that talk came on it reminded me of Dad and how he is always creating new words. The power had been going out like crazy. When it goes out during personal study, wow does it get hot. It turns into a sauna in our apartment. I sorta broke my handheld fan..:/ My Mini Scriptures are amazing and so light! It is way easier to walk around all day without the extra weight added on in my bag. Or Bayg as Elder Phol would say. (he is Canadian) After the first Saturday session we went with a couple of the Elders and ate Chinese food! We were going to go to a French place to eat but it was closed. Chinese is close to French food right? :) Although this was a hard week, it was great as well. No matter the trials we go through, if we lean on the Lord for help we will be lifted up and strengthened so that we may continue to do His work. I love and miss everyone back home. Shout out to my Brother who just got off his mission! Woop, Congrats! Love, Sister Breana Stewart LAST WEEKS UPDATE:
This week was pretty good. Tuesday night we picked the sister training leader up from the airport and she was with us until Thursday. It was very interesting because she is allergic to the sun.....Yeah....so it took us a long time to get out of the house while she was with us and then we had to make sure there were shady areas during all of our lessons. THIS IS THE CARIBBEAN. There isn't that much shade. And to make matters worse, the power has been going out off and on for the past couple weeks. The apartment was like a sauna during our studies on Thursday. It is hard to concentrate when you are melting. We managed and ended up having really great studies. Institute was on Wednesday and we are trying to get some of our investigators to come. We tell them we have a "Bible study class Wednesday nights" and that they should come. So we are telling them what institute is without calling it institute. Pretty genius if you ask me. They put institute right before choir to get more people attending that and it was magnificent. Choir was very entertaining. Sister Robinson and I were having a good 'ole time and I accidentally knocked her hymn book out of her hand and it hit the branch president.....We were all laughing. Friday the most amazing thing happened! Roger (our Jamaican investo) made an amazing choice. He has a baptismal date set for October 17th! We are so excited. We currently have 2 baptismal dates set. Sunday we had district conference. Think general conference, except on Skype, way smaller, and in French. That was church on Sunday. Now I know how the French speakers feel every Sunday when people give their talks in English. Props. In order for me to learn something on Sunday I had to read my own scriptures during church. It was an interesting experience and I wished that I could have understood it because I am sure they gave great talks. Luckily the last person that gave a talk gave it in English. He started his talk out by saying that we have plenty of Young Single Adults in the church and that he wanted to take one word out f that. Any guesses as to what word? It's a hard one. SINGLE. His talk was basically telling us all that it was time for us to get married. Which for some people it is, but as missionaries....not quite our time. SO that happened. :) Sunday evening we had a lesson at the beach and it was gorgeous! The view will never get old here. The Church is true and the book is blue. Quote of the day: Sister Stewart: "I swear I just saw a flying fish!"(excitedly pointing) Sister Robinson: "Those are snorkelers."(shakes head and laughs) Love and miss everyone!
